A man wearing a belted yellow tunic struggles to bridle an unruly horse with its forelegs and head raised while an attendant in a yellow tunic stands at right. Greek funerary art of this period generally uses simple, balanced compositions to aid immediate legibility. This dynamic, partially foreshortened scene is seemingly unique.
