The Jack and Belle Linsky Collection, 1982 (1982.60.330a,b)

Emperor Charles VI gave the so-called Viennsky Service to Empress Anna Ioannovna (1693–1740) during a period of close diplomatic and political relations between Russia and the Austrian courts. This tureen and a chocolate cup (1982.60.240) were part of the historical gift. In 1922, the service was recorded in the Winter Palace, Saint Petersburg, and subsequently dispersed.
