    Grand Duchess Maria Feodorovna (1759–1828) cut this glass cameo with bust-length portraits of her husband and herself à l'antique. The piece is signed and dated Maria F.[ecit]/21 April 1791. Glass cutting was among the favorite leisure pursuits of the future empress.
