  • Jar (Tibor) with Decoration of Pendant Garlands, 18th century
    Puebla
    Tin-enameled earthenware

    10 5/8 in. (27 cm)
Gift of Mrs. Robert W. de Forest, 1911 (11.87.8)

Although the form of this jar is typical of the period, its ornament is unusual for Puebla ceramics. Unlike most tibores that feature variants on Chinese motifs, this one is clearly inspired by a European source.
