    Marks: Three brand marks of the initials C M J surmounted by a princely or ducal crown on the underside of the seat rail between the legs of the chair; can be interpreted as collectors' marks of Caroline and Joachim Murat

    The seat rotates on the four-leg base of this "roundabout" chair. Napoleon used a similar chair at the Palais des Tuileries in Paris.
