The original green diced morocco-covered wood box titled in gilt "A Series if Stereographs of the International Exhibition 1862, by the London Stereoscopic & Photographic Company" has been lost by Christie's Salesroom. (lid missing)

A fine group including two different (unnumbered) views of the opening ceremony and detailed studies of many of the most important galleries and displays. No. 26, a group portrait, shows Prince Frederick William of Prussia and the Commissioners. At least seven cards include a bearded man with a distinctive light-colored hat, probably the photographer.
