Miscellany of plates from several French ornament portfolios. It contains 30 plates from the "Journal de la Décoration, XIIme annee" published by A. Guerinet in Paris. The cardboard cover in which the full year of suites was bound is also preserved, as are the title pages of the individual installments. The miscellany also contains 23 plates from the third volume of the "Album de la Décoration", published by A. Calavas in Paris. Both series contain an eclectic sampling of designs, printed in color on paper of varying qualities.
