This print is bound in Volume I of Oeuvres. Jombert published his collection of Le Pautre in 1751. Volume I contains "desseins... pour la décoration des maisons, etouches, edifices;." This print is part of a series of six plates deicting new ceiling decorations. The series was published by Pierre II Mariette around 1656-57 and was republished by Jombert in 1751.
