In the aftermath of the battle, Bahram returns to the scene to find his lost whip and is mortally wounded by Tazhav and his army. Aggrieved, Giv rides close to the Turanian camp under cover of darkness and takes Tazhav prisoner. He returns to where Bahram lies dying and shows him his killer. Then, he slits Tazhav's throat, and Bahram breathes his last.
