Arm

Pablo Picasso Spanish

Not on view

Arm was made in Vallauris, where Picasso first began making ceramics in 1947. In 1951 he also made several small bronze sculptures, including two hands and two forearms that, like this example, include a single hole near the wrist or elbow. It is likely that these works were intended as door knockers.
