Chaos

Yoon Kwang-Cho Korean

Not on view

Inspired by the buncheong tradition of the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries, Yoon’s recent works tend toward the sculptural and exploit the dynamic, tactile potential of clay, glaze, and white slip. Through the drips and splashes on this piece, the artist intended to convey the moment of energetic chaos before the birth of a new life.
