Sheena Wagstaff, Leonard A. Lauder Chairman, leads the Museum's program of modern and contemporary art for The Met Breuer and The Met Fifth Avenue. Her remit is to develop an international contemporary exhibition program, including art from across The Met's geographic and historic collections. In the department, she is responsible for building the collection, encompassing painting, sculpture, film, architecture, design, decorative arts, and multidisciplinary installations. Before joining The Met, Wagstaff was chief curator of Tate Modern, London. Over the course of her career, Wagstaff has worked for the Museum of Modern Art; University of Oxford; the Whitechapel Art Gallery, London; the Frick Art & Historical Center, Pittsburgh; and Tate Britain.
