Byzantine Pop-Ups

Free with Museum admission

Featuring Axion Estin Foundation Chanters

A Met holiday tradition, these pop-up concerts feature hymns and carols of the Byzantine Empire. Antiphonal works, with musicians alternating parts in multiple languages, weave a sonic tapestry from floor to balcony in the Medieval Sculpture Hall, with our magnificent Christmas Tree and Neapolitan Baroque Crèche the centerpiece.

December 15, 4 pm, 6 pm, and 8 pm

Gallery 305, Medieval Sculpture Hall
Free with Museum admission.

Presented in collaboration with the Axion Estin Foundation.
