One of the most gifted artists who ever lived, Michelangelo was a painter, sculptor, architect—and poet. Written some five hundred years ago, his highly physical, sensual love letters form the libretto for this 2015 MetLiveArts commission, designed for our 16th-century Vélez Blanco Patio.

Gallery 534, Vélez Blanco Patio
Tickets start at $95
Bring the Kids for $1.

Presented in conjunction with the exhibition Michelangelo: Divine Draftsman and Designeron view at The Met Fifth Avenue, November 13, 2017–February 12, 2018.

La Dolce Morte is made possible by The Howard & Sarah D. Solomon Foundation.

Tickets to this event include same day Museum admission.

Watch the world premiere of La Dolce Morte performed in 2016.
