Explore the relationship between contemporary artists’ use of archaeological materials in their work and attempts to understand the historical context in which the ancient works were first produced. This talk focuses on works from the Tell Halaf archaeological site (ancient Guzana), located in the Habur River region of northeastern Syria, from the early first millennium B.C.
