John Singer Sargent spent much of his childhood in Italy, returning often, both in person and in his paintings. In this cross-cultural program, curators Stephanie L. Herdrich and Soyoung Lee look to the glittering Diamond Mountains of the Korean Peninsula and beyond to explore ways our environment creates a longing that registers in our art.
