The Greek and Roman Study Collection contains some 3,500 objects, extending from the Neolithic period in the Aegean (sixth millennium B.C.) to the end of antiquity in the Mediterranean world (early seventh century A.D.). The objects are arranged largely in chronological order and often by material. In addition, there are display cases that represent specific styles, geographical area, or themes.

Located on the mezzanine above the Leon Levy and Shelby White Court, the Study Collection supplements the objects on view in the primary galleries and an exhibition gallery that allows for temporary displays.
