Supplier Diversity Statement

In furtherance of its Commitments to Anti-Racism, Diversity, and a Stronger Community, The Metropolitan Museum of Art (“The Met”) is dedicated to promoting diversity and inclusion when selecting vendors, contractors, and other service providers (“Suppliers”). The Met is committed to developing a Supplier base that reflects the diversity of both the community served by The Met and the community in which it operates.

Accordingly, The Met is seeking Diverse Suppliers to participate in its sourcing and procurement process. A certified diverse supplier is a business that is at least 51% owned and operated by an individual or group that is part of a traditionally underrepresented or underserved group as defined below:

  • Minority-Owned Enterprise (MBE)
  • Women-Owned Enterprise (WBE)
  • Veteran-Owned (VOB)
  • Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB)
  • Lesbian, Gay, Bi-Sexual, Transgender, and Queer-Owned (LGBTBE)
  • Small Business Enterprise (SBE)
  • Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB)
  • Historically Underutilized Business Zone Enterprise (HUBZone – SBA Certified)

Any Diverse Supplier interested in providing goods or services to The Met is encouraged to send an email to: Procurement@MetMuseum.org.
