Cristóbal de Villalpando: Installation Time-lapse

Watch time-lapse video of the installation of Cristóbal de Villalpando's Moses and the Brazen Serpent and the Transfiguration of Jesus for the exhibition Cristóbal de Villalpando: Mexican Painter of the Baroque, on view at The Met Fifth Avenue from July 25 through October 15, 2017.

The installation of Villalpando's 28-foot-tall masterpiece took five days and involved the combined expertise of more than a dozen riggers, machinists, carpenters, and art technicians in addition to the exhibition curator and four conservators.
