The Met App for Android

The Met app now features maps of the Museum

The Met Museum’s flagship app—which launched for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch last fall—is now available on Android smartphones. A 2015 Webby Honoree in the Education & Reference category, the Met app helps users discover the galleries, works of art, media, events, facilities, information, and resources that best meet their interests—both in its main building along Fifth Avenue and at The Cloisters museum and gardens, the Metropolitan Museum’s branch for medieval art and architecture in Upper Manhattan. The app now features a map for each location.

The Met app is supported by Bloomberg Philanthropies.

When: The Met app is available on Android smartphones beginning July 1. The map feature will be available for iOS on July 14.

Where: The Met app for Android is available free from the Google Play Store. It is available for iOS free from the App Store.
