Study Room in the Antonio Ratti Textile Study and Storage Center
The Antonio Ratti Textile Study and Storage Center houses approximately 33,000 textiles from thirteen curatorial areas, spanning 5,000 years of history The collection includes archaeological materials, fiber art, and acessories. Individuals and groups are welcome to coordinate appointments for self-led object-based research. Advanced scheduling is required. Visitors are encourage to consult the online collection.

Study Room for Drawings and Prints
Spanning over five centuries of works on paper, the collection of the Department of Drawings and Prints includes more than 21,000 drawings, 1.2 million prints, and 12,000 illustrated books and artists' books, as well as an extensive collection of printed ephemera. Most works that are not on view may be examined in the Study Room. Visitors may also consult books in the department's reference library (partial holdings are available online) on the history of drawings and prints.
Study Room visitors are required to be at least 18 years of age and first-time visitors will be asked to show identification. Teachers and independent lecturers are welcome to use the Study Room and the collection for classes and talks. Before making an appointment, visitors are encouraged to consult the online collection.

Study Room for Photographs
The collection of the Department of Photographs contains approximately 100,000 photographs spanning the entire history of the medium, including f500 photographically illustrated books and albums. Most works not currently on view may be examined in the Study Room for Photographs, including materials from the Walker Evans Archive.
The Study Room is accessible to qualified researchers by appointment and with proper identification. Appointments must be requested a minimum of two weeks in advance and are subject to availability. Space in the Study Room is limited. Before making an appointment, visitors are encouraged to consult the online collection.
Hours: Tuesdays: 10 am–12:30 pm; 2–4:30 pm (closed in August)
