Geneva
Animals gathered to represent Switzerland--donkeys, a horse, an ox--facing the viewer. They stand under an arch with a church tower in the background, with vegetables piled in the foreground. Based on a painting shown at the Royal Academy in 1851, where the the arch and church towner were painted by David Roberts at Landseer's request after the picture was hung.
