This charming scene is a mock triumphal procession in which a woman sits in a chariot with her arms bound, and a man in armor, also with his arms bound, stands on a column at the front of the chariot. A blindfolded Cupid, symbolizing the way in which he shoots love's arrows blindly, is also present. The mood is comedic and probably meant as a playful burlesque of the perils of passion.
