钱选（中国，约1245至1307年前）王羲之观鹅图
南宋首都杭州于1276年沦陷之后，艺术家钱选决定做一位旧朝“遗民”。这幅刻意以朴拙的“青绿”山水风格所作的手卷描绘了王羲之（303 – 361年）的故事。书法大家王羲之是道家炼丹术的实践者，据说他的灵感来自观察自然形态，比如鹅颈优雅的动作。通过创造出一种梦幻古拙的深意，画家使观者不再对画面空间进行现实解读，以此表明他在宋朝皇室灭亡后所感受到的脱节。
