Not on view

The asymmetry of construction of this doll hat is classic Schiaparelli. The workmanship also exhibits a high level of skill and expertise, specifically in the manner in which the felt is handled. The brim is an exposed cut edge, showing a certain bravado in the hat making process. The attractive printed fabric used in identical to a blouse in the collection made for Millicent Rogers by Schiaparelli and the hat and blouse are presumably part of an ensemble.
