Perhaps what is most interesting about this negligee is the printed design, which shows a move away from the highly decorative, ornate and organic aesthetic of Art Nouveau towards the angularity that was part of the Art Deco aesthetic. The swastika motif seen here was a sign of well being used in various cultures, prior to Hitler's appropriation of it.
