Dressing jacket

American

Not on view

The cut of this dressing jacket is very minimal, similar to some traditional folk garments. Additionally, the shape of the jacket shows the interest in such forms that Paul Poiret and Madeline Vionnet were presenting during that time. It is a very beautiful example of machine-made lace, which is clearly an imitation of the flat Flemish handmade laces.
