Ensemble

Design House Redfern
ca. 1930
Not on view
John Redfern of the House of Redfern was a distinguished British tailor offering the finest garments to his clientele, his specialty being suits. The ensemble featured here is beautifully made and a close inspection of the coat shows its refined geometric piecing. The blouse is a tour de force of embroidery, obviously of Islamic influence and is the highlight of the ensemble.
