Pumps
A bow placed at the throat is one of the most common and timeless shoe ornaments. The designer of this shoe has wittily integrated the bow element into the structure of the upper, and expanded it to give the appearance of a neckerchief tied around the foot. Throat treatments imitating dress necklines were not uncommon in the 1950s, and this design is a particularlly elegant example of the trend. The neutral two-tone color scheme was also favored at this time.
