Suit

Department Store F. Cruwys
1933
Not on view
The well-dressed man of the 1930s was particularly concerned with impeccable cut and fit, which could only be achieved through custom tailoring and labor-intensive workmanship. This three-piece business suit by the highly regarded French tailor F. Cruwys shows that attention to detail, especially in the diamond-shaped piecing at the center back and the four-inch diagonal back darts.
