Ensemble
This men's ensemble composed of a patchwork shirt, bootcut jeans embroidered with wisps and florals, and canvas sneakers hand painted in a color block pattern exemplifies the do-it-yourself hippie aesthetic of the late 1960s and early 1970s. Customization personalized otherwise mass market garments and signified allegiance with the creative, homespun counter culture movement of the period. The jeans are embroidered with the name of the artisan.
