An oval box. The lid's central roundel shows Christ on the cross flanked by two kneeling figures. Outside the roundel, the two thieves who were crucified with Christ are depicted against a crudely hatched background. Inscribed in the roundel is: JO K. Flanking the roundel, inscribed at left, is: 17, and at right: A.

The medallion on the underside shows the Adoration of the Shepherds. It is flanked by two kneeling shepherds against a crudely hatched background. Inscribed in the roundel is: T Ki.t (The child [?]).

With lined rims, molded edges, and chevron borders. On the sides are leaf scrolls. Inscribed underneath the added hinge is: John. The inscriptions were probably added at a later date.
