Fan
The lovely frieze on the front of this fan is delicately hand-painted with antique-inspired grotesques framing landscape cartouches. The reverse of the fan, in contrast, is much more tentative and unsophisticated in its decoration, suggesting that the fan's owner may have customized that side herself.
