Limestone votive figurine

ca. 3rd–2nd century BCE
Not on view
A figure in “semi-relief” emerges from a block rounded on the back. The Greek inscription is a dedication made by Nikandros on behalf of his son, Timon. It is probably a votive stele seeking divine protection for the child.
