Alabaster flask

late 4th–3rd century BCE
Not on view
There was a long tradition of carving alabaster vessels in Cyprus, reflecting early Egyptian influence. This shape finds a parallel in core-formed glass alabastra, two examples of which are 91.1.1393 and 17.194.795.
