Finger ring

Greek

On view at The Met Fifth Avenue in Gallery 171

Originally, the recessed bezel would have held a stone or glass setting. The large size and distinctive thick shouldered hoop are typical of Hellenistic finger rings made in a variety of media, including gold, glass, and rock crystal.
