Terracotta stemmed dish

Etruscan

On view at The Met Fifth Avenue in Gallery 171

The rim is decorated with four heads in relief.

It is interesting to compare this object with its Attic counterpart (1977.11.5) of about a century later Though comparable in general appearance, they are significantly different in the quality of the clay and in the articulation of the shape.
