Bronze handle attachment with duck heads

1st century BCE
On view at The Met Fifth Avenue in Gallery 171
This handle attachment would have been mounted to the rim of a basket-shaped vase, with the swinging loop handles themselves fastened between the duck heads. A complete example of such a handle adorns the bronze basket vase (1989.281.86) displayed nearby.
