Ergy Landau (provenance; ex. coll.) was a Hungarian photographer and a close friend of Moholy-Nagy. Weston Naef arranged in 1981 for a group of eight Moholy-Nagy photographs, including this one, to be bought from Rapho for $1500 each by various collectors as promised gifts for the Museum.
