[The Photographer]
Little is known about this studio portrait except that it was discovered in Aix-en-Provence. The subject, seen with the lens board of a working stand camera, is likely the owner of the studio.
Although it appears that the subject has photographed himself in front of a mirror, his "camera" consists of only a tripod and lens board. The exposure was actually made with a camera positioned opposite the sitter.
