As matted, this photograph is turned 90 degrees from normal body orientation (i.e. it is vertical though photographed as a horizontal). Boston MFA (1965) dates this photograph 1920 and orients the print as per the MMA matting. According to Weston Naef's inscription in the BMFA book, the Boston print is in the original Stieglitz frame with a label in the artist's hand which orients the print as per their reproduction in plate 20. Dorothy Norman dates this photograph: 1919. The original MMA receipt  from Stieglitz lists the negative date as 1919.
