Jean Arp

Bill Brandt British, born Germany

Not on view

During the 1960s, Brandt photographed many of his contemporaries late in life, from Miró and Ernst to Dubuffet and Giacometti. He also made close-up photographs of their eyes that are among his finest works; this part-portrait shows time carved into the flesh of the great Dadaist sculptor Jean Arp.
