Rowel Spur (Left)

Netherlandish or Spanish

Not on view

Despite its simple shape this spur is delicately engraved and its large buckle and remaining tab are skillfully pierced with foliage and a rosette. Necks like this, bent at an angle, were popular in Europe between 1630 and 1660.
