The Plays of William Shakespeare, vol. 5, containing King Henry the Fourth, Part 2, King Henry the Fifth, King Henry the Sixth, Part 1, King Henry the Sixth, Part 2
Fuseli designed the illustrations in this ten-volume set of Shakepeare's plays, edited by George Steevens, and published in 1803. Various printmakers translated sketches supplied by the artist into tightly controlled images with no detail left to the imagination. A high degree of finish was expected from a good reproductive engravers in this period.
