This album contains three series by Pietro Santi Bartoli after works by Raphael, Giulio Romano, and Perino del Vaga. The first series, consisting of 15 plates, depicts Raphael's works for the Vatican stanze and the Sistine Chapel tapestries. The series is dedicated to Niccolò Simonelli.
The second series bound in this album contains 15 plates reproducing the tapestries designed by Raphael's apprentices for the wainscotting under the Vatican tapestries in the Sistine Chapel. The tapestries depict scenes from the life of Pope Leo X, who commissioned them. The series is dedicated to Prince Leopoldo de'Medici. As Passavant notes, plates No. 8 and 10 do not represent scenes from the life of Leo X, despite Bartoli's captions added to the plates. Passavant writes that the scenes refer to the persecutions of Christians.
The third series bound in this album contains 44 plates and depicts the stucco medallions by Raphael's workshop designed for the Vatican Loggie. The series is dedicated to Cardinal Massimo.
