A binding containing issues of the weekly magazine ‘El Hijo del Ahuizote’, richly illustrated throughout and hand coloured covers with caricatures by ‘Fígaro’, a pseudonym for Daniel Cabrera Rivera. ‘El Hijo del Ahuizote’ was founded in 1885 by Daniel Cabrera Rivera y Manuel Pérez Bibbins together with Juan Sarabia. In July 1902 Ricardo y Enrique Flores Magón took over and expanded it. During this period its content and caricatures were in opposition to the repressive regime of Porfirio Díaz.
