Dessins sur les danses d'Isadora Duncan...

American pioneer of modern dance Isadora Duncan inspired many visual artists with her innovative choreography, which broke free of the strictures of classical ballet in favor of more organic, improvisational movement. As she explained, she sought "the divine expression of the human spirit through the medium of the body’s movement." In this homage to Duncan, de Segonzac employed fine, wispy lines to evoke her distinctive aesthetic.
