Woman's theatrical costume of Renaissance style in green and plum with golden trimmings
Drawing, design for a woman's costume by Vincente Minnelli. The costume consists of a plum velvet gown with train and a green velvet bodice with golden trimmings and hanging tassels. The upper part of the sleeves is of purple color, pleated, with golden trimmings, over long, white puff sleeves. A large headdress with a large bundle of yellow and green feathers covers the head, over a silver net with hanging strips of white color, simulating a Renaissance style; yellow gloves cover the hands. An open-winged, gray bird with long, purple feathers on the head, is perched on the left hand. A purple boot peaks from the left side of the skirt. Two cloth swatches of green and plum velvet are attached at lower right of sheet.
