Sleigh #3659

Manufacturer Brewster & Co. American

Not on view

Description by Merri Ferrel who notes: This is one of a series of sleighs designed in the 1880s by Herman Stahmer, the chief designer at Brewster & Co. until his death. He attended Albert Dumont's school in Paris and designed a series of sleighs. He seems to have been influenced by Gmelch who displayed several "Galaschilten" at the Paris expositions.
