An edition of this print was published by the New Republic as a promotional bonus to attract new subscribers. It was included in the portfolio 'Six American Etchings (Series I)' and offered with a year's subscription for $8. Other prints in the portfolio included: 'The Promenade Deck' by Peggy Bacon, 'Sentinels of North Creek' by Ernest Haskell, 'Night Shadows' by Edward Hopper, 'Brooklyn Bridge' or 'Park Row' by John Marin (both used, one per portfolio), and 'Play' by Kenneth Hayes Miller, see: Morse 1969, p. 220-1.
